On Saturday, 27 September, thousands will march in Liverpool to protest the Labour Party Conference on the National Palestine Demonstration to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and to call for justice and freedom for the Palestinian people. The People’s Assembly Against Austerity will be there as part of this mass mobilisation, and we are organising a bloc under the banner: Welfare Not Warfare.

While the government slashes funding for our NHS, schools, housing, and welfare, it is pouring billions into war, weapons, and fuelling global conflicts. This is austerity and militarism working hand in hand, and we reject it.

Our bloc will highlight the urgent need to prioritise people’s needs at home and solidarity with oppressed people abroad. From Gaza to the NHS waiting lists, the message is the same: money for public services, not for war.

WE ARE PROUD TO MARCH ALONGSIDE THE PALESTINIAN STRUGGLE, BRINGING OUR VOICES TOGETHER TO SAY: WELFARE NOT WARFARE – STOP THE GENOCIDE, END AUSTERITY, FIGHT FOR JUSTICE. JOIN US
